Seventeen-year-old Mitzi and Deuce can recall how many drops of water were on a leaf from a rainstorm five years ago and conversations from last week, month, or year. They have the ability to remember every second of everyday—since birth.

This gift has blessed Mitzi with a history of being sexually assaulted by researchers and abused by her own parents. She trusts no one. Likes no one. Deuce, however, is a high school standout. His gift has made him a superstar on the football field and his memory promises him endless opportunities.

When they both end up at an Alzheimer’s research facility under false proviso, they quickly realize this place isn’t what it seems to be. They endure crazy military-style tests, are forcefully drugged, and complete real-life simulations that haunt them.

Mitzi and Deuce have no idea what the researchers want to do with them or their memories. But one thing is clear: the researchers will go to any lengths to get what they want.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Peaceful Genocide sounded so intriguing just going from the blurb which translates well as a representation of the story - you will want to know what is happening once you start reading.

Mitzi has been a part of many a research study as a result of her extraordinary memory - her ability to recall everything she has ever seen or experienced in her life, in detail, this "gift" has lead to nothing but trouble and mistrust for her. She does not want to be a part of yet another study.

Whereas Deuce's capabilities with his memory have helped achieve so much in his life that he can see it resulting in no harm, and he's happy to join a study of his memory to help cure Alzheimers.

This study is strange though, and they are only just beginning to find out how strange it is...

Peaceful Genocide is told mainly from Mitzi's point of view, interspersed along the way with Deuce's view point, giving extra insight into what is happening and how the story seems to be progressing.

Mitzi has been used and abused so much in her life that her first instinct is to shy away from people and definitely not trust them. She has inner strength and compassion, while she is also intelligent, determined and feisty.

Deuce is a decent guy, he's smart enough, very athletic, and generally trusting. He's prefers to believe things are innocent and honest, however, he does look out for other as best he can.
Paisley is adorably loyal and energetic, while you kind of want to give Ralph a hug.

Peaceful Genocide does start out a little confusingly, but the confusion clears up quickly, only lasting the first page and a bit. Mystery and suspence are a seemingly inherent part of the story, building up suspicions in your mind from the get-go and hooking you to finding out what is going on.

This story is fast-paced and well plotted, giving readers clue as to what might be happening, while keeping the answers slightly elusive until the right time.

The characters are believable in their personalities as are the relationships that develop, while the story-line is clearly thought out and incredibly clever, somethings that happen in this story prey upon your fears, making you concerned for the main characters and hoping for the best for them.

Peaceful Genocide is a truly fascinating read!

I rate Peaceful Genocide Four out of Five!!

There are no secrets

Sixteen-year-old Tyler believed that his extra-sensory powers were a secret, but when his twin brother, Toby, is kidnapped by a covert government agency, he realizes that he has no secrets, and he has nowhere to hide.

He’s not alone

Now, to save himself and rescue his brother, Tyler must call upon the help of four strangers. Unknown to each other, Eddie, Liliana, Grace, and Sarah share a common bond. They are Indigo Children. With extra-sensory powers of their own, they must unite with Tyler to maintain their freedom.

Unexpected romance

They’re on the run. They’re on a mission. Romance is a distraction that Tyler can’t afford. But sometimes, the heart has a mind of its own.

Time is running out

Will they find Toby before the agency finds them first? Find out in Indigo Incite, Book One of the Indigo Trilogy.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Indigo Incite begins by introducing us to twins Tyler and Toby - boys who possess extraordinary abilities. When Toby is kidnapped because of these abilities, Tyler must finds others who are about to be similarly targeted, and band together to find his brother.
However, they are surprises to be found along the way...

Each chapter is told from a different view point and really helps to introduce different characters in a way that let's us readers get to know them uniquely, before they are fully integrated into the story.

Each character is well-rounded and vastly differ from one another aside from their special talents. The interactions between Tyler and Toby are my favourite as their brotherly bond transgresses the page.
The banter between characters will have a smile crossing your lips more than once!

The writing of this story is simplistic, yet holds enough detail and intrigue to keep one reading. The abilities of the characters span a range of things, the travelling the characters undertook gave the story a certain charm, while wondering why Toby was taken and who were after them kept the story moving at a decent pace.

An interesting story that has been uniquely executed, Indigo Incite is both complex and simplistic at the same time, in a manner that works  well - a very enjoyable read!

I rate Indigo Incite Four out of Five!!!
